The courthouse was built in 1918, and was one of the two most famous modernized camphor refineries in Taipei during the Japanese colonial period. The building has witnessed the rise and fall of Taiwan’s camphor industry, and is thus designated as one of the historical buildings in the park by the central government. The building is connected to Huashan Grassland via the outdoor square, and the buildings and outdoor area can be used as reception area featuring large visual designs.
